Revised: original review is below and Ive since changed it to 4 stars from 2. For some reason if you pick Canada upon installation and first run it will not give you a full list of scopes. Deleting and picking US on re-install gives the full list of scopes including the M233 that I need. The app is still very basic and archaic looking for a company like Nikon but its nice to have this info available on your mobile for at the range. Original review: I should have read more reviews. Why are not all scopes listed on the website in this app? Needs update and bug fixes especially if youre going to charge $5-6. I wasted my money since my M233 isnt in the app

Purchased this app after getting a prostaff 3x9 for my .22, everything worked in the app for that scope. I have since purchased a prostaff 4x12 for my .308 and couldnt get the app to run with out crashing on that scope setting. Tinkered a bit and found if you live in Canada you need to delete the app and re install to the USA setting. Seems Nikon only updated the U.S. Version. Why Nikon? Does Canada not produce enough sales to update your Canadian version of the app?

Cannot even open the app. Crashes every time I try to open it. If they fixed that It might be a good app. Dont waste $5.79 on this app. Just go to their website for free. Plus their website actually works.

I select my scope and it displays as a standard scope....also I cannot display the ballistic or field tables within the app... Have to email them and then open them from email (IOS 8.4)

I love the app but please add 22lr Aguila ammo to the app

POS app. Doesnt have all scopes listed. Worked for me twice, now it freezes when you hit the fire button. Complete waste of $$$. Expected better from Nikon..... App working since I took an update. If you want all the scopes you must select USA as your location.

app will not let you change altitude, locks up when asked to set barometric pressure for given altitude, please fix app so its useful in the field

This apps works great when it works. Keeps crashes when I try to open Field guide. I keep it on my phone to see what different ammo will do.

Current update is an improvement, but the app still crashes when accessing the "Field Chart". Using Iphone 6, version IOS 9.3.1

After taking the time to enter all the data it locks up when I hit the fire button. Have tried several times with the same result. Hurry up with a update!

This app used to work great. Now you cant load weather from local weather stations. All values are blank. Contacted Nikon product support. Absolutely no help there. Without this function the app is pretty much useless unless you purchase the plug in Nikon weather instruments.

Update: so I submitted a trouble ticket with Nikon for the weather issue 2 weeks ago and havent heard anything back. I sent them a follow up email a week ago and still nothing. Im dropping this down to 1 star for terrible customer service. Im also going to drop my 5 star rating for the scope itself. First review: Nice update, but "get from nearest weather station" no longer works. All of the values are blank.

Field chart and weather no longer work. App has good potential if everything would work and not crash

Really frustrating. The latest "fix" broke the app so that the "get from nearest weather station" and "Field Chart" generation functionality does not work on my iPhone 6s running IOS 9.3.2. So sad - since this means half the app is non-functional and crashes when it tries to generate the field chart. Please fix this.

Well I got it on a whim hoping that they fixed the "search for local weather station" but they have not. Maybe they will see all the low ratings and fix it, I mean they arent Comcast, right? I am considering getting the pocket weather station since my rifle is just for target shooting, and the light from the expanded view wont a concern. Should have a "night mode" on it too.

Very handy for accurate shooting. Just wish you could save different set ups for quick changes

This app is a great feature for the Nikon brand. However, they need to fix the feature on the app where you can gather weather info from a nearby weather station. That would make me rate the app 5 stars!

The app used to work well and was great it worked great with my guns. Now the last two updates it freezes not can you get weather or elevations. The scopes work great you just have to sight them in manually meaning go to the range with what loads you want to use and sight in for the yarded want. When the app worked it was great. I dont think Nikon cares about the app its rarely up dated and you can never get a response from them. I hope their scopes dont go the way of their app. Buy the scope for the scope and dont even download the app. Its trash

It crashes every time I try and get a field chart. Also it should be more intuitive. And if it could tell you the exact number of clicks needed to adjust

This app is incredibly accurate. I sighted in a .308 rifle using this app at home without firing a shot. I plugged in 100yrd sight in distance then set the distance from target at 10 yards. The app said to aim almost 1" high. So I sighted the scope 1" above the bullseye from 30 feet away. Today I took the gun to the range to test it out I was 1 click high. Setting the windage is a different story but even that was only 1" off. In other words, by simply using this app my rifle could have dropped a deer from out to 100 yards before I ever even fired a shot with this scope.
